Hope Larson is 25 years old and lives in Asheville, NC. She's been a vegetarian since she was 12, can kind of play the guitar, and kicks butt at Dance Dance Revolution (for an old lady). She has four cats and one husband. Aside from Chiggers, she's written and illustrated two other graphic novels, Salamander Dream and Gray Horses. She's won a couple awards for her work but didn't get to accept either of them in person, which is kind of lucky because she is shy.

Hope used to look like Abby—and yeah, the resemblance is intentional—but Abby isn't Hope. Each of them is her own weird self.
